The encounter of educators,
It has never required grand ceremonies.
We find that,
The most touching communication,
It often happens at the most natural moments.
It was a great honour to welcome the Dean of the University of Cambridge Judge Business School at DeHong.
[Message From Principal]
His visit was not only an affirmation of who we are today, but a window into who we may become. He was moved by our bilingual learning environment, the confidence of our students, and the sincerity of our educational purpose. More importantly, our conversations opened the door to future collaboration and deeper academic connection-a beginning that we believe will continue to grow in the years ahead.
He shared a message that resonated deeply with us: Cambridge seeks young people who are not defined solely by examination results, but by strength of character, depth of thinking, openness to the world, and the ability to grow with others. These words echoed the heart of the DEGT framework, reaffirming that the path Dehong is walking is both grounded and forward-looking.
The visit marked a meaningful exchange between the University of Cambridge, EiM, and Dehong — grounded in shared commitments to education, integrity, inclusiveness, innovation, leadership, and the importance of resilience, respect, and empathy in developing future global leaders.
Beyond academic excellence, the discussion reflected a mutual appreciation for the arts and cultural heritage of China, and the importance of owning one’s cultural identity while engaging with the world through a values-driven education that is both locally grounded and globally minded.
The conversation also reinforced the importance of long-term thinking in education, and the responsibility institutions share in shaping ethical leadership and positive societal impact over time.
The student representative had an in-depth exchange with the dean of Cambridge University's Judge Business School as the part of this visit. This interaction provided the students of Dehong with a valuable international academic perspective and also demonstrated the school's outstanding achievements in cultivating globally competitive talents.
It was a privilege to learn from one another through open dialogue and shared experience, and to explore how leading institutions can continue to collaborate in preparing young people to engage responsibly and confidently with the world.
